If you have a few recipes you would rather type out, this book can be used as a recipe folder instead of a recipe card holder. Either way, it is a very useful item and can be used for recipes that might be too long to fit on one recipe card. You can see two cards at once, so you can write one recipe on two cards and see the entire recipe without turning the page.

Cherry Recipe Holder

Also look for the recipe file box and the Cherry Recipe Card Holder kitchen fairy. I'm using this book to hold printed recipes and have been seriously considering buying an entire set of these books just to have enough to store all my printed recipes. You can put a label on the spine of each cookbook to indicate the type of recipes. I've looked everywhere for recipe books that would coordinate with other kitchen items and it seems C.R. Gibson has everything a cook could wish for. 

The books are durable and have an almost padded cover with a cover you can wipe off if something spills. You may want a recipe book holder to keep this at a safe distance from spills. It is truly cute and has really helped me organize my recipes more efficiently. The company that sells this book also sells the recipe cards. I finally was able to get more cards from the company selling this book.

     The 11-piece Deluxe Chef’s set from Scanpan® 2001 gives you almost everything you need. They are oven proof to 500 which is very convenient when frying meat, then making a casserole in the same pan which you can then put into the oven.

     These pans work best with moist heat and are great if you are looking for sturdy, heavy pots and pans. The 5-quart covered low saucepot may be ordered from the open stock items in the Chef's™ catalog and may also be used anywhere you would use a 5-quart sauté pan.

     For frying on a regular basis I recommend ordering a Calphalon nonstick 13-inch oven-safe griddle pan and a nonstick 5-quart sauté pan with stay cool handles.
